Sebastien booked a car rental with us, but he made a mistake: instead of June, he picked dates in May. While waiting for him with the car at the airport, we contacted him and he apologized as he made a mistake. He said it was the first time he made such a mistake and seemed sorry. He accepted to settle the rental for that day, when the car was blocked for him by the owner because of his mistake. We didn’t charge him the whole rental duration as it should have been the case according to our terms and conditions but only this one day.
Trusting him as he apologized profusely, and for the sake of simplicity, we agreed to add the cost to his remaining balance.
One month later, he contacts us to say he won’t be able to come and can’t go with the rental. We just asked him to settle the day rental for his mistake… and that’s when he ghosted us. Despite several emails, he just ignored us.
He made a mistake, put us in debt and decided to ghost us instead of setting what he had agreed to pay. That’s not a straight or honest behavior. I would NOT recommend doing business with him.
